Dear Darren,
I want to say "Thank you!" for what you and the Bourne Golf Centre have given to me and my family. Being the mother of three boys, age 9, 6 and 2, golf is one of the few sports I can enjoy with all my children, and still feel like a lady.  Your facility being indoors has given me and all the three boys the opportunity to love something together. Your instruction and the environment we receive lessons in, has truly put the "fun" back into golf for me.  Being indoors, I don't have the worries or the stress of my youngest child running off or ever having to take a break in lessons for weather reasons.  In the last year of taking lessons, weather has never been the reason for us missing lessons.
Taking lessons at Bourne Golf Centre has become such a family event that my husband has gotten back into the game and looks forward to all his lessons with you.  Nothing gives a wife more pleasure than to see her husband with a smile as bright as the sun. I have Bourne Golf Centre to thank!  Once again, because the facility is indoors he can take lessons as late or as early as you offer them. During the winter months that is such a bonus, because the sun comes up so late, and goes down so early.
Once again, "Thank you!" for what you have given to the Sickler family!
Sincerely
Raydient Sickler

It looks like the lessons are paying off played in the Sat Swing I won gross score 102 net 74, better than that I played today shot a gross 94 six under handicap on back 9 shot gross 43 my chipping which we looked at two weeks ago was really good and my putting which we looked at this week was inspirational just the few routines you have gave me over the past few months are really paying off. I can see my handicap coming down fast thanks to you. Lessons really do pay off.

Thanks
Steve

"Just wanted to say thanks for the lessons once more. I had the pleasure of the most improved golfer award 2010 at Kirton Holme Golf Club and currently on 16.6 handicap, so once more thanks."

"Around 18 months ago, a friend invited me to play around on a par 3 course, so with some reluctance I dusted off my old clubs and joined him.  Shortly after this another close friend invited me to his stag weekend at The Belfry.

In my first lesson Darren asked me to perform my swing and hit a ball, and then it was time to study it on 'video' on the computer. The moment I saw it, the only thing that was more evident than my slightly protruding belly was the fact that my so called swing at best to me was pathetic. I felt a little ridiculous and in that split moment I understood why had never improved. Darren was very good about it and explained that it could be rectified and duly started on the immense task I had set him.

If anyone asks I love to tell them that my low scores are down to my pure natural ability and talent. But back to reality, although I have worked hard to improve my game, I feel Darren's mix of correcting my physical  swing and adjusting my mental attitude is what has made the vast improvement possible.

On 23rd May exactly one year after visiting The Belfry, I played my usual Sunday morning game on The Valley course at Greetham.  I missed 3 two foot putts, hit the ground twice, added two unnecessary shots on rushing when we were invited to play through, had to accept a very unlucky drop shot and still scored 85. That's an improvement of at least 35 shots in a year !!"

"I had reached the point of giving the game up entirely as despite smacking hundreds of balls down the range, and various 'one off' lessons there was no improvement and the golf was becoming an ordeal.  I came across Darren by chance and after discussing what I was looking fro from the game I decided to commit to a programme of lessons with him.  His patient, simple approach enhanced by the video analysis gradually unpicked a lifetime of engrained bad habits and started to develop the semblance of a respectable golf swing.  It was a slow but rewarding process.  I then had an enforced  month layoff from the game and on my return I dreaded the fact that I would be back to square one, which would have been totally demoralising.  However my ball striking, and video analysis comparisons showed that the swing thoughts that Darren had painstaking taught me had actually become implanted and become my default 'go to' swing, there was no step back to the bad old days, a testament to his teaching methods. There is still a long way to go but this has given me renewed enthusiasm to commit to Darren's teaching philosophy"

"I have been playing golf for about 20 years and have always had regular lessons with a range of different club professionals.  For 8 years I played off 3 handicap unable to reduce it any further.  However, within my first season of having lessons with Darren I lowered my handicap from 2.6 to 0.8.  Darren's teaching knowledge and skills coupled with his coaching of the mental approach to the game have been invaluable over the past two seasons.  Darren's teaching does not stop after the half hour lesson, he cares about your game and through continued communication and support, works with you to ensure you achieve your goals.
